Overview

The national strategy for the procurement of Business Management Consultancy Services was developed by Scottish Procurement in collaboration with the National Category Forum and key stakeholders across the Scottish Public Sector. This engagement was supported by cross sectoral workshops held throughout Scotland conducted in July and August 2008.

Scottish Procurement, carried out a full EU Procurement Tendering Process, placing adverts in the Official European Journal and on Public Contracts Scotland.

Scottish Procurement,supported by the Professional Services National Category Forum (NCF), and Centres of Expertise (CoEs) has awarded five specialist, multi supplier frameworks for Business Management Consultancy. Each framework includes 3 Risk-based Lots; high, medium and low.

  • Procurement Consultancy
  • Business Strategy Consultancy
  • Organisational Development Consultancy.

Benefits

The framework agreements represent a number of key benefits, including the following:

  • Financial Benefit- The Frameworks represent the first Scotland wide solution for consultancy services and are expected to achieve an average of over 35% savings.
  • Quality- All the framework suppliers have a proven track record of delivering quality services. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) have been developed and agreed with all suppliers.
