Overview

On 9 April 2009, Scottish Procurement entered into a 4 year agreement with Oracle UK Ltd. The ULA covers Oracle's Core Technology set licences and support.

The Oracle ULA brings important benefits to the Scottish public sector and delivers greater value for money.

What is in scope?

Oracle Core Technology set which includes :-

  • Oracle Database Enterprise Edition
  • Oracle Enterprise Edition Options
  • Database Enterprise Manager Packs
  • Internet Application Server Enterprise Edition
  • Internet Application Server EE Manager packs
  • Internet Developer Suite
  • Discoverer Desktop Edition

What is out of scope?

All other Oracle products not included in the section above.

Who is this available to?

Scottish public sectors in scope are participating organisations within Central Government, Local Authorities, Police and Fire & Rescue.

NHS bodies and Universities & Colleges should contact their sector Centre of Expertise for information on sector specific agreements with Oracle.

Note:It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the Agreement to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so. Entitlement can be established by contacting Scottish Procurement (see below). If there is any doubt, legal advice should be sought.

Oracle Secure Website for the Scottish public sector

As part of the Oracle ULA contract a secure website has been set up for participating organisations to utilise - Scottish Public Sector / Oracle website.

All Scottish public sector bodies that are in scope of the ULA can register to access the website. The website is security protected with a username and password for each individual registering on the site.
