• Corporate Laptop
• Ultraportable Laptop
• All services associated with mobile computing.

What is out of scope?

• Desktop Computing
• Netbook
• Servers
• Storage Area Networks
• Telecoms Hardware
• Peripherals (which are not included at the point of order)

There is a separate framework for Desktop Computing, Netbooks and a National Collaborative Procurement Arrangement for IT Peripherals.

This contract was awarded following an OJEU procurement.

Note: It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the contract to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so. Entitlement can be established from the terms of the National IT Hardware & Associated Services Framework Notice published on Public Contracts Scotland. Benefits

• Savings: The product pricing is significantly lower than current national pricing.
• Fixed Pricing:· Pricing is fixed for the duration of the framework, which will provide budget certainty for public bodies.
• Extended Product Range: The range of products available has been extended to include lower specification devices. · The products are also supplemented by a menu of upgrades, downgrades, accessories and services. It is anticipated that the majority of public sector user requirements will be met through the frameworks.
• Coverage: The frameworks will be available to all Scottish public sector contracting authorities, regardless of size or geographical location.
• Environmental: To reduce the environmental impact of mobile computing, the latest energy efficiency and environmental accreditations were incorporated into the minimum specification.
• Transactional Efficiencies:· The frameworks will focus on eProcurement, increasing transactional efficiencies for end users.
