The Advisory Group's remit is to provide an ongoing framework for dialogue about, and influence upon, public procurement practices as they affect suppliers.
While this needs to cover any issues of concern to suppliers, for the next 3 years there will be a particular focus on the implementation of the Reform programme. The following remit has been suggested:
- To raise, and make recommendations on, issues relating to public procurement practices as they affect suppliers.
- To consider plans and proposals for the implementation of the "Review of Public Procurement in Scotland" and make recommendations to the Public Procurement Reform Board and Scottish Ministers.
- To monitor progress in changing public procurement practices as they affect suppliers.
