The Sector Action Plans look to existing sources of information and research to identify the key impacts of climate change on each sector and appropriate actions which can build our resilience to these impacts.

They have also been informed by a wide range of information and work, including a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and the two public consultations, which were undertaken for the Climate Change Adaptation Framework.

The SEA Environmental Report and draft Sector Action Plans were published on December 13, 2010. Feedback received on this report and the draft plans was considered in developing the Sector Action Plans. The Sector Action Plans supersede the Sector Summaries which were published in 2009.

The Sector Action Plans will be updated on an ongoing basis to reflect our evolving understanding of risks and impacts and our improving understanding of the needs of each sector. Details of any updates to the Plans will be available on these pages.
