A commitment already exists amongst many businesses operating in Scotland to address the challenge of climate change. The Scottish Government is keen to build on this through the Climate Change Business Delivery Group, encouraging business to share best practice, identify opportunities and challenge each other to do more.
The Scottish Government has also provided funding to Scottish Business in the Community, securing their continued role in co-ordinating the work of the Prince of Wales' May Day Network, which is the key vehicle for delivering business action on climate change in Scotland. The Prince's May Day Network is the UK's largest group of businesses committed to taking action on climate change. Businesses are encouraged to take action by reducing their carbon emissions, by innovating low carbon products and services and by extending their impact to employees, suppliers and customers.
