Scottish LMI Framework

Background

The considerable activity within the LMI landscape in Scotland presents an opportunity for stakeholders to work together to develop, deliver and communicate LMI in a co-ordinated and collaborative way. The Scottish LMI review project was set up to build on previous activity by stakeholders to drive forward work on co-ordinating LMI in Scotland. The Scottish LMI Framework has been developed through the Scottish LMI review project.

What is the Framework?

The purpose of the framework is to:

  • Clearly identify current LMI provision in Scotland;
  • Provide LMI users in Scotland with a common understanding of current provision and gaps; and
  • Focus action to ensure LMI meets Scottish user needs.

Who is involved?

To avoid duplication of previous work and to make use of existing expertise in the LMI field, the Scottish Education, Skills and LMI Roundtable group formed the steering group for the project. This includes:
