Improving Services - Previous service improvement

Reports have been prepared by the Outputs Monitoring Group (OMG) on the improvements delivered during the 2002-06 (Quality and Standards 2) and 2006-10 (Quality and Standards 3A) regulatory periods.

These reports show that steady improvements have been made to services. By 31 March 2010:

  • Compliance with stringent drinking water quality standards had reached the highest ever levels;
  • More than 99% of Scotland's population connected to the public sewerage was served by a compliant wastewater treatment works;
  • Customer service levels were comparable with those achieved by the English and Welsh companies.

OMG's quarterly reports for these periods can be viewed in the Publications section of our website.
