Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum has received both European Regional Development Fund and European Social Fund funding.
The European Regional Development Fund award was for over £2.5 million towards the comprehensive refurbishment and modernisation of the Museum.
With the most recent European Social Fund award for marketing, which will include a series of events, exhibitions and activities targeted at a wide range of audiences.
This was announced on 22 May 2006 by the Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Allan Wilson, shown here alongside the Lord Provost of Glasgow Liz Cameron.
Ayr College
Ayr College has received an ESF award of around £93,000.
This was to assist trainees from Social Inclusion Partnership areas in Ayrshire to be consulted on the design of this project and a framework to move them from unemployment and low-grade skills, to employment with higher grade skills.
Trainees are supported with guidance, assessment, training in core skills and ICT, in addition to receiving extensive training in Care and work placements.
