Horizontal Themes
The Structural Funds now place a strong emphasis on two main horizontal themes:
- Sustainable Development and,
- Equal Opportunities.
This supports Scottish Executive policy and is reflected in the core criteria developed o Scottish Structural Funds Programmes from the work carried out in earlier projects by partnerships across Scotland.
Therefore, if you wish to apply for Structural Funds, you should ensure that your project takes proper account of sustainable development and equal opportunities. The Programme Management Executives can provide advice on this.
