Finance Sector Jobs Taskforce

Finance Sector Jobs Taskforce

The Finance Sector Jobs Taskforce was established to co-ordinate efforts across Scotland to ensure maximum levels of employment are retained within the financial services industry - focusing on understanding the needs of the industry as it adjusts to the future structures which will emerge as a result of the current climate.

Public sector interventions have included matchmaking affected staff with recruiting companies and working with financial services organisations seeking to identify and capitalise on opportunities to grow other areas of business within Scotland.

In terms of individual financial services employees, the principal intervention has been delivered through the Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE), a cross-public sector initiative which provides skills, training and employability support for people affected by redundancy.

The Taskforce can be contacted by telephone on 03002441195 or by email to f/sjobstaskforce@scotland.gsi.gov.uk

The Taskforce meets at regular intervals throughout the year and in this section you will find agendas, minutes and papers for these meetings.
