Conference 2010 Speech'Tomorrow's Menu' - Scotland's National Food and Drink Conference 2010 - the Scottish Government's flagship food and drink event, provided a unique opportunity to network, share future ambitions and debate Scotland's aspirations for the future of food and drink. The event took place on 24 November 2010 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and was attended by a cross section of the food and drink industry.

Richard Lochhead, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment (pictured) provided the keynote address and a range of speakers also provided the audience with challenges and ambitions, tackling a wide range of food & drink issues. Also speaking at the conference were:

  • Loretta Dormal Marino, Deputy Director General, European Commission
  • Prof Phil Hanlon, Professor of Public Health, University of Glasgow
  • Prof Maggie Gill, Chief Scientific Adviser, Scottish Government
  • Tom MacMillan, Executive Director, Food Ethics Council
  • Paul McLaughlin, Chief Executive, Scotland Food & Drink
  • Shirley Spear, Restaurant Owner, The Three Chimneys Restaurant

The event was interactive and participants had opportunities to contribute views throughout the day. The proceedings were guided by Mark Stephen who is one of Scotland's most prolific and popular broadcasters. Following the conference delegates were asked to evaluate their day.
