Food Advocacy Working Group
Food advocacy as a strategy can engage contrasting private and public groups to work together on the key themes of the national policy which range from public health and nutrition, education and skills, food production and agriculture, climate change and the environment to sustainable economic growth and employment.
By creating a platform for Food Advocacy stakeholders can be empowered to engage with the policy and importantly with each other. In turn this has the potential to nurture new relationships that lead to more effective implementation and to new solutions.
The creation of a Scottish Food Advocacy Group with different interests in the food system represented, could be a useful catalyst for change. We have convened a group of individuals with appropriate interest in Food Advocacy to recommend how this should be resolved.
