Energy Skills Themed Group
Purpose
- To support the EAB and its Industry Advisory Groups (IAG) by providing strategic direction on cross cutting energy skills issues
- Oversee and co-ordinate delivery of the Skills Investment Plan for Energy
Remit
- Promote the delivery of the actions identified in the SIP
- Prioritise delivery of SIP actions, accelerating actions as required, through national collaboration
- Inform the setting of new actions where appropriate
- Inform and influence Scottish Government, government agencies, and stakeholders on policy, curricula, and investment in energy sector skills
- Act as a catalyst to ensure a co-ordinated and evidence-based approach to identifying and addressing skills issues across the energy sector
- Ensure a long term strategic view of future skills demands and solutions, to provide the skills and capability to exploit opportunities and deliver sustainable economic growth for Scotland.
