Renewables Obligation (Scotland) 2005 - Statutory Consultation

This consultation outlined proposals to amend the Renewables Obligation (Scotland) (the ROS) to increase the level of the ROS beyond 2010/11, to support the creation of a UK wide market in ROCs, to secure the buyout fund and introduce greater flexibility for smaller generators. It also sought views on changes to the recycling mechanism. The consultation ran between September and December 2004. A short summary of responses is available. The subsequent changes are to be carried forward in the Renewables Obligation (Scotland) Order 2005, due to come into force on 1 April 2005.
