FREDS Community Renewables Implementation Group

The Forum for Renewable Energy Development in Scotland (FREDS) established a sub-group to work on the Scottish Government's Renewables Action Plan and develop a routemap to maximise the benefits for communities from Scotland's tremendous wealth of natural renewable resources.

Addressing the Scottish Low Carbon Investment Conference in Edinburgh on 28 September 2010, the Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Rural Affairs announced the publication of the Loan Study. He had previously announced the commissioning of the loan study at the Royal Highland Show, 25 June 2010.
