Launch Event

Town Centres and Local High Streets Learning Network - Launch Event, February 12, 2009

About the event

This event marked the official launch of the Town Centres and Local High Streets learning network. This learning network provides long term support to people and organisations who are working to make Scotland's town centres and local high streets more successful.

The event at Stirling Management Centre brought together a wide range of people who all have an interest in Scotland's town centres and local high streets in order to facilitate them exchanging experiences, to identify common interests and to explore what support the learning network can provide to the practitioners and decision makers within Scotland's town centres and local high streets.

Delegates at the launch event were given the opportunity to express their thoughts via interactive voting buttons, see the results of the vote here. The first question was a test to get delegates used to using the voting buttons, with the following two questions allowing us to see the breakdown of people who were in attendance at the event. The remainder of the questions focused on gathering information on how people like to learn, what barriers there are to learning and what sort of issues the learning network might begin to tackle
