A Private Sector View of Regeneration

Friday May 14, 2010
The Tryst Community Centre
Park Drive
Stenhousemuir
FK5 3BA

The comprehensive redevelopment of Stenhousemuir has been one of the few Scottish town centre regeneration projects to be completed in recent years and there are lessons to be learnt from both a public and private sector viewpoint.

This event will provide an overview of the development from a private sector perspective, charting the progress of the project from inception to completion and highlighting key points around planning, viability, marketing and relations between the joint venture partners.

In addition to speakers from the Stenhousemuir Developer - MacDonald Estates - there will be inputs from Richard Slipper of GVA Grimley and Hugh Bruce Watt of Pinsent Mason, who are leading professionals in the field of planning and joint venture work. Colin Frame, Principle Surveyor with Falkirk Council will also provide a Local Authority perspective at the event.

The event will conclude with a tour of the completed development and there will be the opportunity to question the panel about their views of the current market and assess prospects for the future. This event will be of interest to anyone involved in town centre regeneration from either the public or private sectors.

Places at this free event are limited, therefore if you are interested in attending please email Yvonne Gavan or call 0141 271 3734, as soon as possible to reserve your place.
