At this Glasgow event on June 24 2009, Stephen Tucker, Turley Associates, shared his knowledge of creating effective masterplans. Key messages included:
- masterplanning is a process (not an output)
- it's not just about design - has to be developed alongside a vision for the area
- the need for more ambitious and effective leadership (led by the public sector)
- the need to engage meaningfully with stakeholders (including the community) at an early stage
