Background
Wider role has been a success in tackling problems in our most disadvantaged communities. Now that money is short and may reduce further it is even more important that we maximise the impact of wider role activity and get the best possible value for the resources invested in it. Joint working with social enterprises has delivered success in Fife both with and without wider role money.
Study visit and tour
The Scottish Government, in partnership with Employers in Voluntary Housing (EVH), is running a tour on March 22, 2011 in Fife. Participants will visit five social enterprises in Fife who have worked closely with local housing associations.
There will also be an opportunity for housing associations to share their experience and influence debate about the future joint working with social enterprises across Scotland. We hope to have Colin Campbell, Network co-ordinator at Senscot along to help us discuss the existing networks.
The tour is FREE - but you'll need to get to the starting point for 9.45 am on the day.
