Financial Inclusion Conference

The conference was jointly hosted by Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Finacial Inclusion Champions, the Scottish Government and was supported by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). The agenda was thought provoking and presented delegates with examples of best practice from across the United Kingdom, including:

  • financial inclusion prevention and early intervention
  • economic benefits of financial inclusion
  • challenges facing the financial inclusion sector
  • solutions: sharing best practise
  • getting the most from partnership working

"Financial Inclusion is about equality of access to financial services and products for everyone. We can often take for granted what others may have no access to. Raising the profile of these issues is of critical importance, not only to benefit the individual and families affected, but is fundamental in achieving success in many of the national priorities for Scotland." (Barbara Billings, Chair of Financial Inclusion Partnership).
