Milestones	2009 - Strengthen the links between land use planning and river basin management planning to ensure implementation of the requirements of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) with regular liaison between delivery partners. 2009 - Scottish River Basin Management Plans (RBMPs) in development plans and Supplementary Planning Guidance.

Progress	River Basin Management Plans for Scotland and the Solway Tweed river basin districts were published on December 22, 2009 and are supported by an interactive map system which provides information on where improvements are required.
