2009 onwards - Co-ordinate activity including delivery of national developments in the area to support economic development and regeneration in the preparation of development plans and associated action programme and development management decisions.

July, 2011 - The Upper Forth Development Framework Study has been commissioned by Scottish Enterprise and involves Falkirk Council and industry stakeholders. Its focus is primarily on identifying economic growth prospects for the chemical and logistics industries in the Falkirk Grangemouth area. It is expected to be completed by July 2011.

March, 2010 - Meeting to discuss proposed "development framework" for the Upper Forth / Falkirk-Grangemouth area which would provide a focus for optimising the area's strengths as a location for the chemical industries and for optimising the transport elements of the National Development.
