NPF2 Action Programme

The Scottish Government has coordinated the creation of an Action Programme to support delivery of the National Planning Framework2.

The Action Programme is a working document developed in consultation with key stakeholders and sets out, in very broad terms, how and by whom the national developments and other key elements of the NPF strategy will be implemented.

Current action

Effective monitoring of the Action Programme is fundamental to the delivery of the NPF. Therefore the Government is liaising with the stakeholders involved in implementing national developments and other key elements of the NPF2 Action Programme to monitor progress.

The Action Programme is regularly updated throughout the year, In May and June 2011 a comprehensive review of progress was undertaken, and a progress report was prepared for the Local Government & Communities Committee at the Scottish Parliament.
