| Milestones (4) | Babcock is proposing the development of an International Container Terminal at Rosyth. Babcock determined that the route by which the project should be authorised was a Harbour Revision Order under the 1964 Harbours Act rather than through the planning system. An Environmental Impact Assessment scoping opinion was issued in August 2010 and applications for two Harbour Revision Orders were made in January 2011. A number of objections and representations were received. Babcock has published additional information, including a Carbon Balance Assessment in response to these which is subject to further public consultation until the end of June 2011, and is work to inform rail access options. September 14, 2011 - Pre-Inquiry Meeting held on Harbour Revision Orders. Public local inquiry to begin January 16, 2012. |
