2009 - 2011 Submit planning application in line with masterplan for Beechwood Campus and implementation of Inverness College/University of the Highlands and Islands Campus

Progress

July, 2011 - Planning permission for the initial phase of campus development was granted in May 2010. Highlands and Islands Enterprise has committed over £30m funding. Archaeological excavation is currently underway on the site of the campus and it is anticipated that work to install key services will begin in September 2011.

August 2009 - Highland Wide LDP Main Issues Report identifies site at Beechwood Inverness for the new campus.
