2009 onwards - Reflect the Scottish Government's Climate Change targets, Climate Change Adaptation Framework and Energy Efficiency Action Plan in the preparation of development plans, associated action programmes, supplementary planning guidance and in development management application decisions

February 2010 - New national planning policy on climate change published as part of the consolidated Scottish Planning Policy

May 2010 - pilot project commenced between Aberdeen City Council and Scottish Government on the implementation of s72 of the 2009 Act
