| Progress | July, 2011 - The West Edinburgh Development Partnership have prepared a high level implementation plan for strategic infrastructure to unlock the full potential of the area. This plan is currently with Scottish Ministers for consideration and endorsement. March 1, 2011 - Six rural telephone exchanges are being upgraded as part of a joint Scottish Government and BT Scheme. They are located in the areas of Abbey St Bathans, Lempitlaw and Steele Road sites in the Scottish Borders; Tummel Bridge in Perthshire; Bargrennan in Kirkcudbrightshire and Westerdale in Caithness. |
