| Progress | achievements to date include completion of over 200 new homes in Wauchope & Greendykes masterplan areas; a 58-unit development for Link Housing Association is under construction; and negotiations are underway to develop a further 93-unit development in Wauchope Square. Craigmilla,PARC has commenced construction work at Niddrie Mill & St Francis Joint Campus Primary Schools have been completed, as has Castlebrae all-weather football pitch. In the town centre the White House refurbishment and public realm improvement work has been completed. Investment has been secured from City of Edinburgh Council to build a £9.5M Neighbourhood Office and Community Library to start on site in Spring 2011; and further water and drainage improvement work has been secured to improve capacity for further developments in the town centre and Wauchope Square area 2009/10 - £2 million allocated from the Government's Town Centre Regeneration Fund for the renovation of the White House and town centre works. February 2010 - shared equity scheme launched to support first time buyers November 2009 - construction of additional phase of affordable homes underway May 2009 - identified as SSCI exemplar project |
