Affordable Housing Investment Programme 2010-2011

Affordable Housing Investment Programme (AHIP)

Most of the Affordable Housing Investment Programme (AHIP) was used to provide grants to registered social landlords (RSLs) to build new homes for rent and low-cost home ownership, but also included grants and assistance to councils, individuals and private companies.

The AHIP was made up of a variety of different grant mechanisms and some of these were grouped to support specific programmes of the Scottish Government, such as the Home Owners Support Fund (HOSF) and the Low Cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (LIFT).

The AHIP Out-Turn Report for 2010-11 outlines the scope of the AHIP and provides out-turn management information for financial year 2010-11. Official statistics on the AHIP and on other housing statistics can be found at Housing Statistics for Scotland.
