The Directory of Housing Support Services includes the following services:
To be included on the site, housing support services must be registered with the Care Commission.
Our aim is to give a detailed picture of each service, so that site users can judge whether a service might meet their needs and make comparisons with other services. The directory, therefore, offers ample scope for you to explain, publicise and market your services.
Directory entries follow a standard pattern, but can be supplemented by other materials, such as leaflets, brochures and images. There are already a number of photographs of sheltered housing schemes, although we welcome more. Where services do not include accommodation, photographs of staff or the office where a floating support service is based could be provided. These could encourage potential service users to make contact.
Adding or amending service details is straightforward. Just let us have a description of your service, and we will work from this to create or amend your entry, and then check back with you that you are happy with the result.
The Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers were compiled by the Scottish Government's Information Advice and Standards Unit (formerly HomePoint) with the assistance of advice providers in the voluntary and statutory sectors. The Standards set a framework for organisations and for advisers and are the recognised quality framework for all housing and money advice services in Scotland.
Data on sheltered housing and home adaptation and repair services is collected by the Elderly Accommodation Counsel, 3rd Floor, 89 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7TP, Tel: 020-7820-3755.
