What is the New Supply Shared Equity (NSSE) scheme?
Under the New Supply Shared Equity scheme, the Scottish Government gives grants to registered social landlords - normally a housing association or housing co-operative - to help them build or buy new homes for sale. A brochure Low-cost Initiative for First Time Buyers: New Supply Shared Equity contains more detailed information.
During 2010/11, the Scottish Government will operate a further round of the New Supply Shared Equity with Developers Scheme. Under this scheme, the Scottish Government will work in partnership with developers to give buyers a wider choice of affordable new build homes to buy.
You can get details about the locations of New Supply Shared Equity projects currently available and the registered social landlords participating in the scheme in the following areas:
East Region (includes Edinburgh and Lothians, Fife, Borders, Angus, Perth & Kinross, Stirling)
North Region (includes Highlands & Islands, Grampian)
West Region (includes Argyll & Bute, Glasgow, Inverclyde, Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway)
