The Technical Handbooks provide guidance on achieving the standards set in the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and are available in two volumes, for Domestic buildings and for Non-domestic buildings. The current 2010 edition applies from October 1, 2010.
The Technical Handbooks and other technical guidance, including U-values, and on how to meet the building regulations for simple conservatories built on to existing houses, are available to view or download from the right-hand menu.
The Historic Scotland publication ' Guide for Practitioners: Conversion of Traditional Buildings' also has the same status as the above technical guidance.
