Sust. is a Scottish Government funded project to promote sustainable design and to raise awareness of the important contribution that good design in the built environment can make to energy efficiency and moderating climate change.
Sust. provides a range of tools that allow building professionals and the public to become more aware of the ways in which sustainable design can benefit the environment and how it can influence and advance the design process effectively. The Sust. programme assists in the delivery of the Scottish Government's strategic objectives and the relevant National Outcomes by helping to make the necessary adjustments to work practices and knowledge bases in order to mainstream sustainable development.
The Sust. Resource Centre has recently been completed within The Lighthouse building in Glasgow and will contain a Materials Library, exhibition space and educational workshop facilities.
Responsibility for hosting the Sust. project has now passed from The Lighthouse Trust to A+DS following the winding down of the Trust as reported here.
