Networking
Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative (SSCI) -
As part of the support for the SSCI, a programme of networking events for the exemplar projects is underway. These events bring the SSCI projects together to exchange ideas and experiences, and also deliver advice and guidance on many of the specific issues and challenges that the project teams face. The events are based around the support themes identified through the SSCI:- Connectivity; Mixed Communities; Climate Proofing; Masterplanning; Collaboration; and Finance & Infrastructure. The first of these networking events was held at The Lighthouse in August, and focussed on Climate Proofing. This was followed in November by an event based around the theme of Connectivity and was held at the SSCI exemplar project Craigmillar, Edinburgh. Further networking events will take place throughout the support stage of the SSCI.
