Annex C: Revisions to the 2009 publication
As noted in the methodology, some slight amendments to the data used in last year's publication have since been made to improve accuracy. The corrections made to enforcement periods mean that data from three fixed camera sites have been added and data from eight mobile camera sites and one red-light camera site have been removed. The net effect of this, combined with the corrections to collision and casualty records, is the addition of eight personal injury accidents records, including five fatal or serious accidents. There are also four additional records of people killed or seriously injured. However, there are 22 fewer injury records (injuries of all severity) in the 2009 dataset.
The following tables show how Tables 1 to 4, as published in October 2009, would have looked using this corrected data.

Camera sites reviewed during 2010
During the course of 2010, 271 safety camera sites were reviewed in accordance with the programme's handbook of rules and guidance. As a result of these reviews 39 sites were abandoned. These sites were all within the NESCamP region, and were marked as abandoned as a result of being absorbed into route strategies on the A90 and A96.
Seven additional safety camera sites were identified and enforced during 2010 (five mobile, one fixed, one red-light). However, the data for these sites are not included in the analyses within this bulletin as only full years' of data are included.
There were 5 sites that became enforced during 2007 that would have been excluded from the analyses in last year's bulletin as there were not three full years' post-baseline data available but are included in this bulletin.
In summary:
- 39 sites have now been excluded from analyses in this bulletin, due to being abandoned during 2010.
- 5 sites have been included in analyses for the first time in this bulletin, having now been enforced for at least three full calendar years.
- 6 sites (net) have been removed from the dataset due to being made dormant/abandoned during 2009.
- The net result is that there are 40 fewer camera sites included in the analyses in this bulletin than in "Key Scottish Safety Camera Programme Statistics, 2009" (published 20 October 2010): http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2010/07/16104117/0
