Statistics Publication Notice Lifelong Learning Series: Students In Higher Education At Scottish Institutions

Listen

Recent Consultation

At the end of January 2010 the Lifelong Learning Statistics branch of the Scottish Government launched a consultation via ScotStat 1 on the format and content of this series of statistical publications (which last year included the results of the Age Participation Index - API). Feedback from users was invited through a questionnaire posted on the consultation page of our website and issued to ScotStat users who registered an interest in higher and further education statistics. The Lifelong Learning statistics branch would like to thank those users who participated in the consultation. A summary report of responses will be made available online (at the address below) at the end of March.

The response rate to the consultation was low, which has made it difficult to gauge the level of support for suggested changes. Due to this, additions to the content of this publication have been made as a result of the feedback received, but no content has been removed as a result of the consultation. The list below identifies the changes that have been incorporated in this release. Further changes, as a result of user feedback, may be implemented in future releases, as not all intended changes could be incorporated in this release due to time constraints. In terms of the next publication (for academic year 2009-10) we will investigate alternative methods to help boost user engagement.
