This report looks at differences in the use and perceived importance of a range of skills to jobs in Scotland compared to the rest of the UK. The research uses data from the 2006 Work Skills in Britain Survey. The skills where workers reported significant differences between jobs in Scotland and the rest of the UK were computing skills, number skills and literacy skills. For these skills, Scottish workers reported lower use or importance in the workplace than workers in the rest of the UK.
