CONSULTATION : LIMITED REVIEW OF THE MENTAL HEALTH (CARE AND TREATMENT) ACT 2003
In January 2008 the Minister for Public Health announced the establishment of a group set up to undertake a limited review of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. The group's report was presented to Scottish Ministers in March 2009.
A consultation paper seeking views on the group's recommendations was issued on Friday 7 August with the closing date for responding to the consultation being Friday 6 November.
A total of 85 responses were received from a range of bodies and individuals.

Due to the large volume of replies the analysis of the responses will be undertaken by an outside agency. We aim to issue a report on the consultation exercise in 2010. This report will be available on the Scottish Government website.
