8. OVERALL SUMMARY OF CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS AFFORDABLE HOUSING BY DEPRIVATION DECILE

  • As mentioned under table 3 above, the proportion of affordable housing granted planning consent declines as datazones become less deprived. This relationship is clearer over four years of data, as the overall numbers of units recorded smoothes out the influence of particular large developments which may skew the figures from a particular period. Chart 5 illustrates this data.
