Introduction

1. The UK Government's draft Bribery Bill was published on 25 March 2009 and is contained within this consultation at Annex A. The draft Bill builds on proposals made in the Law Commission of England and Wales report "Reforming Bribery", published on 20 November 2008, also available online at http://www.lawcom.gov.uk/docs/lc313.pdf

2. The Scottish Government seeks the views of consultees on reform of the law on bribery and corruption in Scotland, based on the UK Government's draft Bill.

3. In addition to seeking your views on specific aspects of the draft Bill, we would also welcome any general comments you have on the law of bribery and corruption.
