Consultation on the Modernisation of the Planning System with 'Seldom Heard' Groups

Listen

Key Findings

Five workshops were organised across five different locations throughout Scotland to elicit opinions and views which will assist the Scottish Government's efforts to reach beyond the usual stakeholders. A total of 50 people were interviewed.

Every event started with a brief introduction to the planning system followed by 3-4 questions that were targeted at that particular interest group and agreed with the national intermediaries.

The five groups and geographical locations were:

1. Gypsy/Travellers - Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire
2. Disabled People - Glasgow & environs (Glasgow)
3. LGBT Group - Fife (Dunfermline)
4. BEM - Central Scotland (Falkirk)
5. Young People - Moray (Elgin)
