RESPONSES
Following requests from a number of consultees, the consultation period was extended to 25 November.
Publication of responses
Forty four of the fifty six respondents were content for their views to be published (listed in Annex 3). In addition, four respondents agreed that their response could be published but not their personal details. Six respondents requested their responses be treated as confidential and the remaining two responses have been categorised as confidential because of ambiguity about whether they wished their views to be treated confidentially. The text of the non-confidential responses is available from the Scottish Government Library and on the Scottish Government website at: www.scotland.gov.uk/muirburn .
Responses varied from a single page to more lengthy responses including supplementary material exploring a range of muirburn related issues.
