THE THROUGHCARE ADDICTION SERVICE ( TAS) AUDIT REPORT
(1 April 2006 - 31 March 2007)
Please find enclosed a copy of the second Throughcare Addiction Service ( TAS) audit report which has been prepared by the multi-agency TAS Working Group. This second report covers the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.
The first audit report, which was issued on 16 May 2007, covered the period from 1 August 2005 to 31 March 2006 when TAS was in its initial stages of development. It was difficult to draw any firm conclusions at that time but the exercise began the process of collecting data and set a baseline from which to measure future progress.
This second Audit was intended to monitor the continuing progress made in establishing a Throughcare Addiction Service across the county and the data shows that there has been an apparent improvement from the baseline figures.
The multi-agency TAS Working Group will continue to monitor future progress to ensure that TAS continues to engage clients and to link them with community based services.
