SEHD regards executive development as an important activity and expects NHS Boards to ensure that the development needs of executives are identified and met.
This Directory for the development of executives in NHSScotland has been compiled to support work which builds upon Delivery through Leadership, the NHSScotland Leadership Development Framework published by SEHD in June 2005.
At the highest levels of management and leadership, Personal Development Planning often requires a less structured approach than at earlier career stages, and development opportunities may be accessed in a more individualised way, if they happen at all. However, there are a number of organisations and initiatives which specifically set out to address the development needs of current and future Chief and Senior Executives.
This Directory aims to provide an up-to-date listing of the main organisations and institutions providing courses, programmes and other structured opportunities which allow open enrolment.
