Note: electronic monitoring is used in the Criminal Justice and Youth Justice systems in Scotland in the following way:

Courts: The court may impose electronic monitoring as part of a restriction of liberty order ( RLO), as a condition of a probation order, as a condition of a drug treatment and testing order ( DTTO) and as a condition of bail in 4 pilot courts

Prisons: The prison may impose electronic monitoring as a condition of Home Detention Curfew ( HDC)

Children's Panels: Children's Panels may impose electronic monitoring as a condition of Intensive Support and Monitoring Services ( ISMS)

Parole Board: The Parole Board may impose electronic monitoring as condition of release on licence

This report provides details of the total number of people subject to electronic monitoring at some point during the reporting period.
The electronic monitoring condition may have been imposed prior to the reporting period or end during the reporting period
