Note:

In addition to direct expenditure the share of administration costs allocated to the Environment and Rural Affairs Department is £75m (2005-06: £75m). This gives total net expenditure of £630m (2005-06: £599m) which is analysed over departmental aims.

There has been a change to the treatment of expenditure and receipts under the Common Agricultural Policy ( CAP), which are now classified as within DEL. Expenditure under CAP Support was previously AME, income was treated as Other Expenditure. Prior year figures have been restated to reflect this change.
