Dear Colleague

INTEGRATED CASE MANAGEMENT (ICM) JOINT PRACTICE MANUAL

This circular is to advise you of the launch of the revised Integrated Case Management (ICM) joint practice manual.

Circular JD/8/2006 ( http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2006/12/newpage) , issued on 30 May 2006, provided an information sheet on the ICM process developed jointly by the Scottish Prison Service, Association of Directors of Social Work and the Scottish Executive Criminal Justice Directorate.

The ICM arrangements build upon the principles and arrangements in JD Circular 12/2002 ( http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2004/07/19605/39872) and are predicated on a case conference model. Since the issue of Circular JD/8/2006 there has been further wide consultation between SPS, ADSW and the Scottish Executive Criminal Justice Directorate to finalise the ICM joint practice manual.

This is now available on the SPS website ( http://www.sps.gov.uk//MultimediaGallery/b9bd23bd-445e-41f9-936b-1e0decf0a40a.pdf).
