3.1.6a Number of persons subject to electronic monitoring conditions - breach reported and outcome received
Definition: the term "breach" is used in this report to identify all failures to comply with the electronic monitoring condition which are reported to the relevant authority by the electronic monitoring company. It is not a confirmed breach until the report and other circumstances surrounding the failure to comply have been considered by the relevant authority who may then confirm the breach.
Notes: These reports provide details of the number of persons subject to electronic monitoring who did not commit a breach during the quarter; the number of breaches (per person) previously resulting in a reported being submitted to the relevant authority at any point during the life of the order where no outcome was received during the quarter; and the number of breaches (per person) previously resulting in a report being submitted to the relevant authority during the life of the order where an outcome was received during the quarter.
Serco will continue to pursue the outcome of a breach report until the order or em condition end date detailed on the original paperwork.
