Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 - Consultation on Draft Regulations Setting out Proposed Relevant Offences Under the Act & the Proposed Form of Statement of Reasons

Please see attached consultation documents regarding the above on which we would welcome your comments. These are: -

  • Draft regulations - setting out what will be a relevant offence for the purposes of the Act; and
  • The proposed form of statement of reasons which Licensing Boards must issue should they be requested. Following comments received this will be set out in regulations.

It is proposed to lay the draft regulations before Parliament for approval in October 2007 so that they are in force prior to the commencement of the transition period on 1 February 2008.

We would be grateful for comments on the attached by Friday 14 September 2007.
